Builder Estimation Agreement
Builder Estimation agrees to produce a digital estimate document detailing the scope of work outlined in the invoice provided via email.
Accuracy of Information
All quantities, numbers, and other details in the estimate are compiled to the best of our knowledge. By using any of the information in the estimate document, you accept it as accurate and waive any claims regarding potential errors. It is the client’s responsibility to provide accurate drawings and a clearly defined scope of work. Builder Estimation does not warrant the accuracy of any information in the estimate.
Pricing and Cost Estimation
We utilize industry-standard tools, including the National Construction Estimator by Craftsman Book Company, to source local labor and material prices. Builder Estimation is not responsible for discrepancies between estimated and actual costs. All figures are intended for informational purposes and should not be considered professional recommendations. Material and labor costs vary by region, vendor, supplier, and contractor, and the pricing provided is based on a periodically updated construction cost database.
Delivery Timeline
Estimates are typically delivered within 9 business days after payment, unless otherwise noted. This delivery window is not guaranteed, nor tied to a customer’s bid deadline unless an expedite or guaranteed delivery fee is applied. Business days are defined as Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
If an estimate is canceled after payment but prior to delivery, Builder Estimation will assess the costs incurred, including labor and transaction fees, to determine the potential refund. The minimum cancellation fee is 25%, even if no work has been done. Refunds are not guaranteed once payment is made, but a credit may be issued for future estimates at Builder Estimation’s discretion.
Standard Estimate Format
A standard estimate includes a spreadsheet outlining costs for labor, materials, subcontractor markup, contingencies, supervision, equipment, and construction expenses. Material lists provided are preliminary and may not include accessories or connectors required for installation. Any changes requested after delivery are considered additional work and may incur extra fees.
Revisions Policy
Revisions to the original estimate are not included in the initial service. Any requested changes may be subject to additional charges, depending on the scope of the revision.
